Hi, I'm Naomi — founder, paper lover, and proud wrapping perfectionist behind The Joy of Giving.
Growing up in Japan, I was always fascinated by the little details — the precise folds of origami, the quiet
charm of a handwritten note, and the endless treasures tucked away in stationery shops. I spent hours folding
paper, experimenting with textures, and (much to my parents' amusement) wrapping anything I could get my hands
on. But the real magic happened one day in a high-end Japanese department store. I watched, completely
mesmerized, as a gift wrapper turned a simple box of clothing into a masterpiece — with beautiful paper, silky
ribbon, and skillful hands. From that day forward, I used my fascination and passion to hone my gift wrapping
skills.
I lovingly and meticulously wrapped gifts for my friends and family for years until one Christmas, I received a
proposal - a request for a personal gift wrapper! On that day, inspiration struck. I realized I wanted to turn
my love for the craft of gift wrapping into a service I could share with others, and the idea for this business
was born.
